Description: Learning hand embroidery & sewing is both fun and relaxing, plus it's an easy way to create beautiful art with fabric and thread. Getting started in embroidery & sewing may seem intimidating at first, but most projects only require a few stitches and our stitching tutorials fit the bill. Whether you're a new stitcher or an advanced beginner, if you learn these embroidery & sewing hacks, you'll be ready to tackle just about any DIY Stitching project that comes your way. 1. SEAM RIPPER: Is a small sewing tool used for cutting and removing stitches. The most common form consists of a handle, shaft and head. 2. DIY THREAD REMOVER / DIY LINT REMOVER: Learn how to get rid of this fuzzy, pesky problem with a few simple solutions 3. BLANKET STITCH: The tool is helping you to make perfect blanket stitches. 4. HOW TO TURN A NARROW TUBE OF FABRIC RIGHT SIDE OUT: There’s specific tools available and many methods for turning tubes of fabric, but if you’re like me and don’t have the right tools then don’t despair, here’s one way you can do it using a couple of items found in the kitchen. 5. HOW TO ALTER JEANS & KEEP ORIGINAL HEM: If you've found jeans that fit but are too long, then you can take them to a tailor or sew a new hem yourself. You can either keep the original hem, or you can create a new hem. Keep in mind that working with denim can be tricky, so there are a few strategies you may want to use to ensure a successful project. 6. STRAIGHT LINE: You can load the stitches onto your needle. So you can go in and out in and out all the way through the length of your needle. And then pull the thread through. This is a good way of getting a nice straight line. 7. HOW TO STRIPE MATCH: If, you love wearing stripes, you really need to learn how to stripe match. 8. MILLINER NEEDLE: Milliner needles are ideal for any type of stitch where the thread is wrapped around the needle several times and the whole needle has to pass through the wraps. Bullion knots, cast-on stitch, drizzle stitch, and even French knots are easier when worked with a milliner needle. The longer shaft of the milliner needle makes it easier to wrap the thread around the needle many times. 9. SEWING SHARP CORNERS: I’m not going to really teach you how to sew corners. But I’ll show you exactly the final steps I follow for sewing perfect corners. And the last step and probably the most important is the key to sewing sharp corners: turning corners right side out the easiest and fastest way! 10. DAISY STITCH IN TWO COLOURS: This technique is Much Easier than the other techniques. The main reason for its ease is the fact that you aren’t required to work both threads at the same time, so you don’t have to keep checking the back of your work to avoid tangling the two working threads. 11.
